June 2013, Summer happenings!

Greetings!   Wow, it's sure been a while since I've posted on the blog.

Lots has happened since then, too much to put in a single post, but here's some current news.

Retreats and Fiber events!    June 20th through 23rd I will be in Rochester, MN at the Stockinette Zombie retreat.  If you aren't familiar with podcaster Megan and Amy, the Stockinette Zombies, you should find them on ITunes and Blip and everywhere else their podcasts are available and check them out.   Two funny, witty, wonderful women -- Megan and Amy have cooked up a great retreat and marketplace.   I'm pleased as punch to be able to attend the retreat.... I'll see if I get some relaxing time in.   That's to be seen!

Meanwhile, the same weekend, George and oldest daughter Renee will be attending the Midwest Fiber and Folk Art Fair in Grayslake, IL.    They will have the bulk of our goodies, including a fresh batch of George's Yarn Buddy's!

We've been busy dyeing lots and lots of yarn -- we've got several new colors that have been making an appearance this year.   There are more to come, but photographing yarn has lately been put on the back burner.   I hope you can bear with me as I get things updated little by little!

The animals and farm will be well taken care of by George's brother, who farm sits for us.  And daughter Rachel will be making sure our baby chicks are well tended, when she's not running off to her movie theater job.

After that bit of fun, we will be vending on Saturdays in July at Meg Swansen's Knitting Camp up in Marshfield, WI.   We've done this for a few years now, and it's so great to see all of the campers and their gorgeous, stunning creations!!!

In August we will be vending at Stitches Midwest.   We are very excited to be adding this show to our schedule.   See you in Schaumburg!!!

I've also got a surprise for the readers of this post...... you are the proud recipients of a coupon code to use..... Summer2013 will get you 15% off your next yarn purchase.   The code is good until Labor Day, so use it early and often!!!

Happy knitting, and hopefully I will see you soon!
